The food was delicious, and we were offered the chance to choose the strength of each dish.
Everything we chose was perfect and extremely good value. The local red Medina wine is very good as was the Chillean Sauvignon.

( for the first time) It was beautiful light white fish perfectly cooked in a medium sauce. My wife had chicken equally well presented and cooked.

I thought the service was excellent, waiters extremely attentive and friendly. I could not complain.

Starters were a good size, next time I will definitely try some of their meat of the grill. I was really impressed with the Massala, extremely rich sauce (not watery like in some places) it was nice how they spiced it how you like it, which is not really something I have seen done before in a Massala. The meat was fantastic as well. My Girlfriend enjoyed the passanda, was nice and sweet and creamy, and again the meat was great.

Also had a bottle of wine with it, had a rose which was only 16 Euros!

All in all for starters, mains, naan, rice and a bottle it was 63 Euros.

Great food, great price, great service. What's not too like?

Will visit again if I am in Malta again!

  We ordered a takeaway for delivery to our apartment while staying in Saint Julians, Malta. The menu choice is very good - we ordered online but the website is not... read more the best and they could really do with more detail about each dish to help you decide. If you are ordering online for delivery you will have to pay cash on delivery as they don’t accept non-Maltese credit cards. Once we placed our order we had a call from them advising that delivery could be up to 1 hour - it was good service to make the call and in fact the food arrived in around 40 mins which was very acceptable.

The food itself was some of the best Indian food that we have had - and we have had quite a lot over the years (we Brits think we know a good curry when we taste one!). We really enjoyed our meal from Emperor of India and recommend it to others.

The service and the food were extremely good, although I thought that all the "extras" and the drinks were a bit on the expensive side relatively speaking. We were sat near the door so could see that they do a roaring trade in take-aways and there was a constant stream of delivery drivers the whole time we were there, so that must show something about the quality of the food.
All in all, definitely worth a try (if you can find it !).

Allwyn is a valuable asset for Emperor of India, I have dined in London, Rome, Stockholm & Amsterdam to mention a few but I have never experienced the level of service and character that Allwyn brings to the table, he creates an experience and I consider myself lucky to come across such a talented & lovely person, truly something special! Never leave this place without having a good laugh thanks to Allwyn.
